Don't you realize that you cannot make your own heart beat?

So I watched a vid about a girl who survived abortion. It was pretty much impossible for her to live by human standards, so it was an obvious miracle that she made it through. She said something that really stood out to me:

"Don't you realize that you cannot make your own heart beat? Don't you realize that all the power that you think you posses, you really possess none of it? It is the mercy of God that sustains you, even when you hate Him."

We are nothing without God. Whether we worship Him, or hate Him, whether we believe He exists or believe He does not, we receive His blessings daily- Blessings of life, of food, of shelter, and of so many other things. Yet we curse God with the breath HE gave us. We murder with the hands HE created. We are ungrateful dust.


"By the sweat of your face you will eat bread. Till you return to the ground. Because from it you were taken. For you are dust. And to dust you shall return." Genesis 1:19
